How it works

1. You fill in the online application form;

2. We send you by e-mail all the details for your application and the filled in consulate application form (ready for you to sign);

3. If you request your invitation from us, we apply for it in Russia (we will need a copy of your passport);

4. You provide (by Special Delivery, courier or personally) us with the required documents;

5. We submit your documents in the Russian Embassy, usually on the following working day after we receive them ;

6. When your visa is ready, we collect your passport from the Embassy and post it whenever possible on the same working day (by Special Delivery or courier) or keep it for your collection;

Documents needed:

1. Visa application form. Should be filled in electronically. Your signature on the application form should be identical with the one in your passport;

2. Passport. Should be valid at least 6 months longer than your visa expiry date and with at least 1 blank visa page;

3. One passport-type photograph (size 35mm x 45mm); (check photo requirements here)

4. Invitation requested by a Russian company accredited with the local department of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Internal Ministry. Please note that original invitation is required when you apply for a multiple entry 12 months visa. If the invitation is sent by telex directly to the Embassy, please send us a copy of the letter from the inviting company with the telex number.

5. Introductory company letter - a letter from a British company, or from yourself if you are self-employed, giving details of the terms and purpose of your trip. It must indicate who will be financially responsible for you during your stay in Russia. Self-employed persons should present copies of their bank statements for the last three months.

We can provide invitation for your visa application. However, you are not obliged to apply for a visa with invitation supplied by us. You can choose to provide your invitation and in that case the price for your visa will be lower.

Visa Registration:

According to the Russian Law all foreign visitors should register their visas if they are staying in Russia for more than 3 working days. For Business visas the registration should be obtained with the help of the inviting Russian Organization.

If we provide your invitation we will give you contact details for visa registration in Russia.

Important notes:

USA nationals have to fill in a separate application form (also electronically, applications filled in by hand will not be accepted).

Multiple entry business invitations can be requested with starting date not later than 45 days from the date of request.

You cannot apply for a Russian visa earlier than 3 months before your trip.

Non-British nationals, British nationals born outside of the UK and applicants under 18 may be asked to present additional documents.

The Russian Consulate has the right to change prices and requirements without prior notice.

Consular visa fees are paid for consideration of the application and are not refundable.

Visa types and fees:

Processing time includes delivery of support documents and consular processing time. Please note that processing time does not include postage time for delivery of your passport to you.

We will submit your application on the following working day after we receive your documents.

We will post your passport back on the same day we collect it from the Embassy.

To calculate the total cost for your business visa you will have to add the cost for the invitation, the cost for visa service required and the cost for delivery of your passport back.

If you apply for a Multiple-entry visa the original invitation should be submitted. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery of the original invitation, this does not apply for telex invitations.

If you need to go to Russia urgently you can apply for a tourist visa and in the meantime we can provide your business invitation for your next trips.

passport Delivery:

After we collect your visa from the Russian Consulate, we may either send it to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery (it will reach you the next business day before 1pm), deliver it to you by courier or hold it for your collection.

What we need from you

(applies for British nationals, other nationalities may be asked to present additional documents)

1. If we are providing your invitation we will need you to contact us by e-mail first. As soon as your invitation is ready we will need:

2. Your passport sent to us by post. (The consulate must affix your visa to your passport). Please make sure that you have at least one free visa page and that your passport does not expire within 6 months from your planned date of departure from Russia.

3. A signed application form sent to us by post (together with your passport).

4. One passport-type photograph.
