From 8 November 2011, Russian 'Work Employ' visa applications can only be lodged by the applicant in person at the Russian Visa Application Centre (this applies only to 'Work Employ' visas and not business visas).




With the acceptance of Federal Law No. 42-FZ on 25 March 2011, foreigners who stay in Russia for more than 7 working days must get their visa registered within the first 7 working days.
Visa de-registration process is now redundant. Foreign nationals who have their visas registered in Russia will be automatically de-registered when they exit Russia.

From 20th September 2008 Israeli nationals holding valid passports may enter, leave, pass in transit or stay in the territory of the Russian Federation without obtaining a visa for up to 90 days within 180 days period.



Citizens of Australia, Israel, Turkmenistan, Netherlands, France, Italy and USA cannot apply for the same day service unless they have residence or work permit in the UK. If they do not have residence permit for the UK the visa processing time for these citizens may take 10 to 14 days.



Russian Multiple-Entry Business Visa
From the 4th October 2007 a Russian Multiple-Entry Business Visa will only allow a visitor to stay a maximum of 180 days a year with a single visit lasting no longer than 90 days within every 180 days period. Those wishing to stay longer must apply for a work permit or residency.



Foreign Nationals Applying for a Russian Visa in the UK (1)
With effect from the 6th November 2008 all nationals from the countries listed below will now need to prove their residency in the UK for the last at least 90 days. Accepted proofs are utility bills. An original letter from a UK employer confirming their employment in the UK for the last at least 90 days will also be accepted as proof.
